A 13-year Active Duty Veteran of both the Navy (Submarines (Enlisted and Officer)) then Air Force (JAG/Lawyer), Doug Newborn handles Personal Injury, Probate, and Estate Planning (Wills and Trusts) in Tucson and across the State of Arizona.ÿ
At the University of Arizona College of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Newborn earned a bachelor?s degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in mathematics in three years.ÿ After 10 years in the Navy, where he served on the USS Tennessee (SSBN 734B), he temporarily left military service to earn his Law Degree from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law.ÿ While in law school, he was awarded, among others, the Gonzales-Villarreal Bridge Program Award and the Ralph E. Long Memorial Award for Outstanding Contribution to the College of Law.
Admitted to practice in federal and state courts in Arizona as well as the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, Mr. Newborn also works as an allied attorney with Alliance Defending Freedom, a First Amendment Legal Advocacy Organization.ÿ He is also a member of the State Bar of Arizona?s Military Legal Assistance Committee, the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association?s Military Pro Bono Project, and the Volunteer Lawyers Program.
