Alexandra Gadzo is the founder of Palo Alto-based Gadzo Law, P.C. She focuses her practice on estate planning and administration, and she has been certified as a specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law by the Board of Legal Specialization of The State Bar of California. Representing clients throughout Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda and San Francisco counties, Ms. Gadzo has been admitted to practice before all California state courts since 2000.
Ms. Gadzo regularly prepares and reviews a variety of estate planning documents for her clients and tailors their plans to their particular goals and needs. She has extensive experience in the basic documents such as wills, trusts, and financial and health care powers of attorney, and for her clients with substantial assets, she explains to them the nature of more sophisticated arrangements such as qualified personal residence trusts, family limited partnerships, and irrevocable life insurance trusts. For those who have loved ones with physical or mental disabilities, Ms. Gadzo will often recommend a special needs trust, which can allow them to still receive certain federal benefits such as Supplemental Security Income.
Ms. Gadzo also guides fiduciaries and beneficiaries through what can often be a complicated and lengthy probate process, and she has handled will contests as well. The quality of her work in all of these areas, as well as her high degree of ethics, have earned her the recognition of her fellow professionals, including a "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. A 1996 recipient of a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Chicago, Ms. Gadzo obtained her legal education at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and she was awarded her Juris Doctor in 1999. She also has a Master of Laws in taxation from Golden Gate University School of Law.
