Tyler Murray

Founding member and partner of Murray & McCarthy Law, Tyler Murray handles matters of business law, tax law, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning and wills, trusts and probate. Admitted to practice in the state of Colorado, Mr. Murray has almost a decade of experience and an Avvo ?Superb? rating. In 2014, he was given an Avvo Clients? Choice Award, and in 2011, he was named the Tax Section Council Member of the Year.

Mr. Murray graduated in 2005 from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. After completing his undergraduate work, he attended Florida Coastal School of Law and earned his Juris Doctor in 2009. He continued his education with a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. While in law school in Florida, he was an intern for the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic and helped low-income and elderly clients at the AARP?s Vita program.

Extremely involved with the Colorado Bar Association, Mr. Murray has served as a member of the budget committee, vice chair of the organization?s tax bar, president of the tax bar and senior editor of the newsletter. Within the organization, he has also served as treasurer and secretary of the Executive Council of the Tax Section. He is a member of the Greater Denver Tax Counsel Association, as well.

An engaging lecturer and writer, Mr. Murray has published a newsletter with the Denver Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association Tax Section. He also has a long list of speaking engagements for organizations such as the Greater Denver Tax Counsel Association, Continuing Legal Education of Colorado and the Young Lawyer?s Division of the Denver Bar Association.
