Focusing his practice largely on complex litigation involving trusts, wills, and guardianships, Sean M. Lebowitz is a partner at Gutter Chaves Josepher Rubin Forman Fleisher Miller P.A. Based in Boca Raton, he assists clients in South Florida and throughout the state, and he has extensive estate, trust and guardianship administration experience as well.
Mr. Lebowitz attended Binghamton University, part of the State University of New York system. He majored in political science and was the speaker at his commencement before receiving a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude and being inducted into The Phi Beta Kappa Society in 2004. Mr. Lebowitz then pursued his legal education at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, and he served on the University of Florida Journal of Law & Public Policy before obtaining his Juris Doctor with honors, cum laude in 2007.
Mr. Lebowitz?s litigation clients have included heirs, beneficiaries, personal representatives (executors), estate administrators and trustees. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in actions involving will and trust contests based on undue influence and other claims, breaches of fiduciary duties, financial elder abuse and guardianship petitions. In his administration practice, Mr. Lebowitz has assisted fiduciaries and beneficiaries with probate, trust and guardianship matters, and he has handled a variety of post-death controversies involving creditors of the decedents.
His excellent track record in these professional endeavors has earned Mr. Lebowitz a great deal of favorable recognition from his fellow members of The Florida Bar, including an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 ?Superb? peer review rating through Avvo. A member of the executive council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar, he is active in several other groups as well, including the South Palm Beach County Bar Association, sitting on the latter?s board of directors.
