Ashley McCartney is founding partner and sole practitioner of the Law Office of Ashley McCartney, LLC. She represents clients in the Atlanta metropolitan area in issues of family law, estate planning, criminal defense, adoption, military divorce, custody and visitation, child support, modifications and divorce. With over a decade in practice, she also has experience in small business solutions and civil litigation.
At Georgia State University, Ms. McCartney graduated with honors on the Dean's List with a Bachelor of Arts in both political science and philosophy. She then attended Georgia State University College of Law, where she graduated cum laude in 2006 with her Juris Doctorate degree. While working on her law degree, she was an associate editor of Georgia State University's Law Review.
Ms. McCartney is a graduate of the Leadership Academy of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia. She is also a member of the DeKalb Bar Association and a former board member and chair of the South East Atlanta Business Association. Within her community, she has been a board member, vice chair and chair of Cabbagetown Initiative, and she is a former president and board member of the Cabbagetown Neighborhood Improvement Association. She has also taught about small firm practice at Georgia State University.
A passionate resident of her community, Ms. McCartney does pro bono work as a member of the Atlanta Volunteers Lawyers Foundation doing primarily Guardian ad Litem work. Since 2006, she has been admitted to practice law in Georgia, and she is passionate about helping her clients through difficult family law matters, planning estates to give peace of mind and representing those who have been charged with crimes.
