Anne I. Shaw is a founding officer and shareholder of Shaw Legal Services in Chicago, Illinois, where she practices business, commercial, estate and real estate litigation. She represents individuals and business clients throughout the Chicago metropolitan area.ÿ
Ms. Shaw has over 25 years of legal experience and is committed to providing strong representation. She is a graduate of DePaul University, where she earned a bachelor?s degree. She earned her Juris Doctor from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law. She holds a license to practice law before all Illinois state courts.ÿ
Over the course of her career, Ms. Shaw has successfully resolved complex litigation in a wide variety of legal areas on behalf of her clients. Her success has earned her recognition and several awards. The National Asian Pacific American Bar Association named her a ?Best Lawyer Under 40? and the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin listed her as one of ?40 Lawyers Under 40 to Watch.?
Outside of running her law practice, Ms. Shaw has always been involved in her legal community. She has served in leadership positions for the Asian American Bar Association of Greater Chicago, including as chair of the Judicial Evaluation Committee and as founder and co-chair of the Chinatown Pro Bono Clinic. She has also served as president, vice-president and treasurer of the organization.ÿ
Ms. Shaw was a Commissioner on the Cook County Board of Ethics, has also held leadership roles in Asian Americans Advancing Justice, ACLU of Illinois, the Circuit Court of Cook County Asian Advisory Council and the East Village Association. She continues to serve as a Committee Chair of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and sat on the alumni board for DePaul University.ÿ
