Focusing her practice primarily on estate planning and administration, Susan K. Alderoty is an attorney at the Kuwamura Law Group, P.A. based in Rockville, Maryland.ÿ Mrs. Alderoty is licensed to practice law in Maryland.
Mrs. Alderoty?s practice includes preparing Last Wills and Testaments, Revocable Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts, Health Care Powers of Attorney (including Living Wills) and Financial Powers of Attorney.ÿ Mrs. Alderoty assists fiduciaries through all aspects of the estate and trust administration processes.ÿ These processes often include the preparation of probate filings, deed preparation, resolution of estate and trust disputes, and the preparation of federal and state estate tax returns.
As an undergraduate, Mrs. Alderoty attended the University of Maryland in College Park and received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology & Criminal Justice and Communication.ÿ After working in various capacities for her alma mater's Robert H. Smith School of Business, she decided to pursue a legal education and enrolled at the University of Baltimore School of Law. While she was there, Mrs. Alderoty served as an intern at the Office of the State's Attorney for Howard County and with a Judge on the Baltimore County Circuit Court. ÿÿAdditionally, Mrs. Alderoty served as a Trusts & Estates Intern at a prominent Baltimore law firm and as a Law Clerk at a firm specializing in Estate Planning located in Howard County.ÿ Mrs. Alderoty also participated in the Planning for Families and Seniors workshop where she prepared estate planning documents in law school.ÿ
Mrs. Alderoty graduated magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2016. ÿMrs. Alderoty is active in the local estate planning community. She assisted with the presentation of the ?Top Ten Pitfalls in Estate Planning? at the Georgetown University Reunion Weekend, June 2018, in Washington, D.C and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association-Estates and Trusts section and the Young Lawyers section, the American Bar Association-Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Division and the Young Lawyers Division and the Montgomery County Bar Association-Estates and Trusts section. Mrs. Alderoty also serves as a member of the Young Professional Advisory Committee of the Greater Washington Community Foundation.
