Richard A. Samdal is an attorney at the law firm of Koernke & Crampton PC in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mr. Samdal practices in the areas of commercial litigation, e-commerce, estate planning and probate litigation, representing clients throughout the Grand Rapids metropolitan area.
Mr. Samdal has over 25 years of experience with litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He is a graduate of Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, where he earned a bachelor?s degree in English. He went on to graduate magna cum laude from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan.
While attending law school, Mr. Samdal was the recipient of various academic scholarships and served as assistant editor and associate editor of the Wayne Law Review. He also belonged to the honor society, the Order of the Coif.
Upon law school graduation, Mr. Samdal passed the Michigan bar examination and obtained his license to practice law before all Michigan state courts. Additional courts he is qualified to appear before include the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Michigan Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th and 11th circuits.
Mr. Samdal belongs to the Probate and Estate Planning Sections of the Grand Rapids Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan. He is a member of the American Bar Association?s Litigation Section and Science and Technology Law Section, the Federal Bar Association and the Association of Records Managers and Administrators national chapter and Western Michigan Chapter.
