As a solo practitioner with Scheller Legal Solutions LLC, Suzanne Scheller focuses her practice on elder abuse and neglect litigation, elder law, financial exploitation, elder mediation, estate planning, and other areas. She is active in the elder law community, including furthering the voice of elder and disabled clients through legal representation; consultation with families; and other advocacy efforts such as policy initiatives and legislative reform.
Suzanne Scheller is a founder ofÿElder Voice Family Advocates, a founding Board member of theÿMinnesota Elder Justice Center, adjunct faculty member at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, an editor of the Elder Law Handbook produced by Minnesota CLE, former Chair and current member of the Governing Council for the Elder Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association, and frequent speaker on issues related to elder law and vulnerable adults. Suzy is the recipient of the Mary Alice Gooderl Award for her work in elder law, and has been named a Super Lawyer and a Lawyer of Distinction, and Top Women Attorneys.
Suzy Scheller is a graduate of Hamline University School of Law (now Mitchell Hamline) and is admitted to practice in Minnesota, the United States District Court for Minnesota, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. She is also a Qualified Neutral under Minnesota Rule 114 in the areas of mediation and arbitration.ÿ Ms. Scheller often provides pro bono service to address elder maltreatment.ÿ She serves her community on various boards and through volunteering, including in the Anoka Hennepin School District, at church, and in various homeless shelters.ÿ Suzy enjoys time with her family and anything outdoors, especially Nordic skiing.
