Nathan W. Nelson is a co-founder and managing partner of Virtus Law. He provides knowledgeable legal representation to his clients in Minneapolis and throughout the state of Minnesota in the areas of business and corporate law, asset protection, estate planning, probate, real estate, income tax planning, and managed service providers.ÿ
Before attending law school, Mr. Nelson completed his undergraduate studies at Hamline University. He then completed his Juris Doctor at what was then known as the Hamline University School of Law, Mr. Nelson also completed his LL.M. in taxation from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, graduating summa cum laude. He is licensed to practice law in both Minnesota and North Dakota.
Mr. Nelson represents high net worth individuals and businesses and oversees his firm's taxation and estate planning departments. He has a highly successful track record for his clients and successfully argued a case before the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Nelson's skill is recognized within the community, and he is a sought-after speaker on topics involving real estate investors' litigation and privately held businesses. He has lectured at multiple colleges and universities and has been a guest on two radio programs on the local ESPN affiliate.
A published author, Mr. Nelson has written articles for regional real estate and business periodicals. He serves as a peer group facilitator for Wealth Counsel, L.L.C., and is a member of the paralegal advisory board for Inver Hills Community College in Minnesota. In order to stay abreast of current developments in his practice areas, Mr. Nelson is also actively involved in several professional organizations, including the Hennepin County, Washington County and Minnesota state bar associations.
