Garrett Knisley joined Martin Heller Potempa & Sheppard, PLLC as an associate in 2015. Before joining the firm, Garrett practiced injury law with Hughes and Coleman in Nashville.
Garrett obtained a Juris Doctor from Belmont University School of Law in 2014. He graduated summa cum laude as a member of the inaugural class and was a member of the Law Review. During law school, Garrett worked for the Regulatory Compliance Division at Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation and the Office of General Counsel for the Tennessee Department of Health. His practice at MHPS is primarily devoted to estate and trust administration and litigation.
Garrett is a native of Williamson County, Tennessee where he graduated from Ravenwood High School in the inaugural class of 2005. He graduated magna cum laude from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in 2009. Garrett is a currently a member of the Williamson County Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association. In his free time, Garrett is a youth sports coach with the YMCA of Middle Tennessee and an avid cyclist and member of the Harpeth Bicycle Club.
