About Richard Cheatham
I have practiced law in north Texas for over thirty years. I have developed expertise in several areas, many of which cover issues faced by business owners on a day to day basis including employment issues, business organization formation and management, contract drafting and interpretation, commercial litigation, real estate development, sales and leasing, and oil and gas issues. I have also devoted a considerable amount of time to estate planning, trusts, probate and probate litigation. Most recently I have developed a significant representation of non-profit entities, and have offered counsel on formation, management and compliance issues. I serve as primary general counsel for several non-profits, sit on the Boards of three non-profits and serve as President of one, VP/General Counsel of another and Secretary of a third non-profit.
