I was born and raised in a traditional working class household in the West Meadowbrook area of east Fort Worth in the 1960s and 1970s. I attended public schools, earned a degree and political science from The University of Texas at Arlington and a law degree from The South Texas College of Law.
@newlineWill Rogers once said that what you do for yourself is how you make a living and what you do for others is how you make a life. I enjoy what I do for a living (and if I don't, I shouldn't be doing it). I want to share with you some of the things that I do to make a life.
@newlineThe most important thing that I do outside of my work is found in the work that I do at First Presbyterian Church -- Fort Worth. I have served on the Mission and Outreach Committee and currently serve on the Nominating Committee. In addition to that I am serving on a task force that is designing a new worship service at our Hemphill campus. This will be at evening service that begins at 6:08, and is being designed for people who might not enjoy a tradional worship service. @newlineThe Stephen Ministry is another program in which I am involved. This program prepares church members to further serve by giving them additional training to care for those who are going through difficult situations. I have only recently started my involvement with this.
@newlineChurch is not my only outside activity. I love baseball, history, and the theatre.@newline
