The founder of the McNutt Law Firm PLLC, Jacqueline R. McNutt represents people in San Marcos and Lockhart, Texas. She focuses her practice primarily on family law issues, including adoption, child custody, CPS defense, child support, fathers' rights, divorce, modifications, property division and paternity matters.ÿ
Ms. McNutt graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in criminal and social justice from Ashford University. She subsequently worked for 10 years as a legal assistant in an estate law firm before deciding to pursue her legal education at the Mississippi College School of Law. While she was in law school, Ms. McNutt received an award for her work involving children in the legal system. She also participated in the Rankin County Youth Court's juvenile clinic. Ms. McNutt graduated with her Juris Doctor and was licensed to practice law before all the state courts of Texas in 2013.ÿ
After law school, Ms. McNutt opened her practice and has represented many clients in their family law matters as well as in estate planning and administration and general business advice and counsel. She is dedicated and realistic and helps her clients to fully understand the issues in what can often be emotional and trying cases. Ms. McNutt focuses on helping her clients to secure favorable outcomes that will benefit them in the long-term.ÿ
Ms. McNutt is active in several legal organizations and attends continuing legal education presentations and seminars so that she can stay abreast of changes in her fields of practice when they occur. Her memberships include the Austin Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, and the Texas Bar College.
