As a partner at Oliver Leffler Law, Lauren Leffler represents clients throughout central Maryland, including Howard County, Montgomery County, Anne Arundel County, Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and Carroll County. She handles legal issues related to family law, guardianship, mediation and collaboration, probate, and estate planning.ÿ She has received Clients' Choice awards from Avvo in the areas of trusts, probate and estate planning.
During her career, Ms. Leffler has worked with a variety of government agencies including the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, the United States Department of State and the White House. ÿMs. Leffler attended Washington College, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. She then obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law.ÿ This unique blend of experiences has endowed Ms. Leffler with an ability to think outside-the-box and have a dynamic approach to reaching resolutions.ÿÿ
She is admitted to practice in the state of Maryland and is trained in numerous alternative dispute resolution methods include collaborative law, mediation, and parent coordination.ÿ ÿWhile she strives to negotiate disputes outside of court, she is fully prepared to litigate if it is what is best for her clients.
Ms. Leffler advises clients to achieve their estate planning goals. She also educates her clients on the various estate planning tools and contingencies to ensure that the estate plan being created best serves the needs of the client. After someone has passed away, Ms. Leffler helps families finalize the affairs of their loved ones through her representation of clients who serve as beneficiaries or Personal Representatives in estate administrations.
Whether she is representing a client in a family law, guardianship, or estate administration matter, Ms. Leffler combines firmness and compassion to helping individuals and families through some of their most challenging experiences.ÿ ÿ
Ms. Leffler voluntarily supports the community around her, and routinely volunteers at the family law clinic at the Circuit Court for Howard County.ÿ She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Women's Bar Association, the Howard County Bar Association, the Honorable James Macgill American Inn of Court, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.ÿ Ms. Leffler also serves as President of the Howard County Collaborative Professionals, a member of the Board of Directors for the Howard County Estate Planning Council, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Brain Injury Association of Maryland.
