He is the Legislative Committee Chair of the State Bar of Michigan Elder Law and Disability Rights Section and belongs to the Michigan Attorney General?s Elder Abuse Task Force, the City of Huntington Woods Senior Advisory Committee and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Outside of his law practice, Mr. Smith enjoys volunteering in his local community. Over the years, he has volunteered with the Wayne County, Michigan, Elder Law & Advocacy Center, the Oakland County Probate Court and the Michigan Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program.
