Ronald S. Pohl is the founding member of The Pohl Law Group LLC, located in New York, New York. Providing representation to clients throughout the New York City metropolitan area, he focuses his practice primarily on estate planning, including the preparation of wills, powers of attorney and complex trusts. Mr. Pohl also handles estate administration and probate litigation, and his background as a certified public accountant also enables him to provide astute and knowledgeable advice and counsel to his clients on matters involving federal and state estate and gift taxes.
Mr. Pohl pursued his undergraduate studies at Brooklyn College and received a Bachelor of Science in 1978. He then went on to attend Brooklyn Law School and was awarded his Juris Doctor cum laude in 1983. Admitted to practice before all New York state courts, Mr. Pohl was the head of the trusts and estates department at a New York City firm and then the managing partner at a boutique New York City firm before founding The Pohl Law Group LLC.
Mr. Pohl stays abreast of current trends in his practice area by being an active participant in the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and the Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law of the American Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs and lectures extensively on related matters to groups of fellow professionals. Mr. Pohl is also a member of the executive committee of the Interfaith Committee of Remembrance, a nonprofit organization that honors the memory of Holocaust survivors.
