Tiffany Sams is a business lawyer specializing in commercial, corporate, and transactional law. Tiffany has provided legal advice to all phases of project life cycles from concept selection through implementation/operations.
She received her J.D. from Loyola School of Law in New Orleans, LA in 2005, and her B.A. in English Literature and Fine Arts from Dillard University also in New Orleans, LA in 2002. After law school Tiffany relocated from New Orleans to Houston, Texas taking on a series of contract assignments in some of the most dynamic legal environments, such as, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, and Derwen Resources. It was Tiffany?s role at Derwen Resources, a Houston oil and gas company that sparked her interest in the energy sector. Tiffany eventually found her home at Chevron Services Company in Houston, Texas where she would spend almost a decade providing legal advice to multi-national organizations operating domestically and abroad.
Most recently, Tiffany was General Counsel of IHI E&C Corporation, in Houston, Texas, the US subsidiary of a Japanese multi-national company. In her capacity as General Counsel, Tiffany oversaw the legal, commercial, risk management, corporate governance and compliance functions of the organization. Tiffany?s passion was in creating strategic alliances where legal was a business partner to overhead administration and engineering/construction project teams early and often.
In addition, Tiffany founded PathLight Legal Corporation, a law firm dedicated to providing representation to under-represented small business and start-ups. Through PathLight, Tiffany provides consulting services in the areas of compliance, entity management, insurance management, commercial, and construction law.
