Eric has practiced law in Washington for nearly 20 years. He has considerable experience in business and tax planning, including not-for-profit, commercial contracts, start-up and emerging companies, mergers and acquisitions, real estate purchase and sale and leasing; estate planning and probate matters; business succession; and trusts and estates litigation. His practice also includes sports and entertainment transactions, representing athletes, filmmakers, and other creators in copyright and trademark, advertising, distribution, television and motion picture contracts, film production, post-production, and digital content.
He also provides dispute resolution services as a neutral, third-party mediator, and he is a board member for the King County Dispute Resolution Center.
In addition, Eric serves on the planning and operations committee for the Ballard Seafood Fest, the annual 3-day festival put on by the Ballard Alliance (formerly Ballard Chamber of Commerce). He previously served as a board member for the Ballard Food Bank and also the Ballard Alliance.
Before founding Stoll Petteys PLLC, Eric was a tax and business attorney with the law firms of Perkins Coie and Dorsey & Whitney. Prior to law school, Eric was a therapist and counselor working with children and families for various not-for-profit organizations.
